Godsground – The Golden Age

Some fantastic grungy stoner rock sounds from German band Godsground, released on this very day on an unknown/independent label. The riffs are as fat as the joints your dad used to roll in the 70’s — the only difference being the quality of the dank sticky goodness contained within.

It was a mere 3 hours ago that I was talking with a friend about the stoner rock and metal scene in Germany, and like a gift from the gods the clouds opened up and this outstanding 7 track LP came beaming down from the heavens. And I need not droll on about how epic the guitar riffs and leads are, it only takes 1 click of the mouse and 10 seconds of listening to learn for yourself.

The 4 piece is currently touring their home country, but I’d be willing to wager they’ll be on the road to other parts of the globe within the next year or so. And if this video footage is evidence of anything it’s that this band puts on one hell of an energetic live show:
